Gerard Kleinfelder, known as Jerry by most of his clients is the current President of PRK Insurance. Jerry helps to set the vision for PRK with a keen eye towards customer satisfaction and customer retention. Jerry is a retired NYC Police Officer having entered the insurance business in 1993. He joined his father in law, Bill Sawyer at Sawyer Insurance, Inc and quickly became an integral part of that team. In 2004 Jerry spun off and created Kleinfelder Insurance, Inc and expanded his reach into Nassau County. In 2007 Kleinfelder insurance merged with Preller and Rice, Inc to form PRK Insurance. In 2011, PRK insurance took on Sawyer insurance and now offer their clients a vast portfolio of insurance options supported by a very knowledgeable staff of PRK team members. Feel free to reach out to Jerry for any of your insurance needs or questions.
Alan Preller is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a BA degree in Economics. In 1976, he joined his father Alan Jay Preller, Sr. in the insurance business and has now been an important part of the agency for 34 years. Al is happily married and a proud father of three sons.
Bill Sawyer graduated high school with honors from Peekskill Military Academy in 1957. He then continued his studies at Hoftra University until 1959. In 1960, he married Carol and accepted a position as a traveling salesman for Eversharp, Inc. covering parts of Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia and Tennessee. Bill then transferred to New York in 1962. He covered the Long Island Area and became one of Eversharp’s top sales representatives. In 1967, Bill Sawyer formed his own agency called Sawyer Insurance and became a captive agent for Nationwide Insurance.
At Nationwide, Bill attained Presidential status which represented approximately 5% of the 5600 agents in the United States.
In 1988, Sawyer left Nationwide to better serve his clientele by directly representing more than a dozen companies and having brokerage access to many others.
In 2011, Sawyer Insurance formed a servicing relationship with PRK Insurance, managed by my son-in-law, Gerard Kleinfelder. This and the fact that the formation of our digital insurance office located at www.sawyerinsuranceagency.net, has been favorably received by our clientele enabling them to keep in contact with us 24/7 to service their insurance needs.
As always, Bill and his staff are always available should you have any questions regarding any insurance matter.
